A cup in every city

As someone who has lived in multiple cities, my experiences across different places have strongly shaped who I am. This series explores my journey through the shared theme of drinks, with each location represented by a beverage that reflects personal memories and how drinks bring people together.

The series begins in Shanghai, where after-school boba and milk tea with friends were part of my daily life. One piece shows a night market near the Bund and captures a quiet, familiar moment of my mother and me sharing Mixue.

The journey then moves to Seattle, represented by Starbucks, referencing the city’s strong coffee culture and the brand’s original logo.

The series concludes in Singapore, the city I currently call home. Mr Coconut represents Singapore’s local identity and shared moments with my sister, who is shown holding kopi, a traditional local coffee often served in a plastic bag.
